Endowment Established for Charles M. Hayes School Safety Patrol Awards

Through an endowment from the family of AAA School Safety Patrol founder Charles M. Hayes, the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety has established an awards program to recognize outstanding Safety Patrol program participants and foster program growth. With administrative support from AAA National’s Traffic Safety Programs department, the Charles M. Hayes Advancement Awards Program will be national in scope and will both complement and supplement AAA accolades bestowed on school safety patrollers.

The legacy left by Hayes has kept thousands of children safer every year since the inception of the School Safety Patrol Program. This new fund and awards program will most certainly perpetuate that legacy even further.
