Foundation Celebrates 60th Year with a Flash from the Past…

60th Anniversary Magazine CoverIn honor of the 60th Anniversary of the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety, a video and brochure were released chronicling the rich history of the organization that first opened its doors in 1947. In the spirit of nostalgia, the brochure entitled “Safe” was created as a parody of the classic magazine “Life.” The video – featuring excerpts from varying Foundation productions dating back to the early 1950s and viewable on YouTube – recounted milestones and traffic-safety trends by decade.

Among other things, “Safe” features a timeline paralleling the life of the Foundation to the life of a baby boomer, as both turn 60. It also recalls the history and beginnings of the Foundation as well as up-coming and on-going projects and goals that the group has in store. Similarly, the video goes from poking fun at the wholesome lessons from the early days of the Foundation, to showcasing the successful, award-winning productions of the present.
