Foundation Webmaster Jack Hoch joined a panel of guests to discuss teen-driver safety and use of the Driver-ZED™ DVD to educate novice teen drivers, Friday May 18, on XM Radio’s “The Power” Channel 169. driver-ZED Screenshot: Workzone at Night

On the program “Autosense", hosted by Brian Armstead, Hoch was joined by Washington Post automotive columnist Warren Brown as well as a teen Driver-ZED user, Jamel Butts, and his family. Along with providing real-time feedback to the show’s host and callers, Hoch discussed the Foundation’s mission, as well as the “look and feel” of Driver-ZED and its ongoing development.

“The show gave us an opportunity to disseminate information about Driver-ZED via a medium that’s not one of our normal outreach avenues,” Hoch said. “There was lots of talk about ZED’s utility in the context of general teen-driver safety issues.”

Butts, a rising senior at a Montgomery County school in Maryland, and his family reported positive results when combining Driver-ZED with other driver-training curricula.
