I’m extremely pleased to announce that for the third consecutive year, the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety earned an elite four-star Peter Krating from Charity Navigator, a well-known evaluator of nonprofit organizations. Only 9 percent of the 5,000 philanthropic organizations Charity Navigator evaluates were similarly recognized for efficiently managing and growing finances, while maintaining minimal overhead cost.

Since its inception 60 years ago, the AAA Foundation has always aimed to keep operational expenses low, allowing the majority of funding to go towards making a real world impact. We are pleased with this recognition by Charity Navigator, as it recognizes our efforts to operate in the most fiscally responsible way possible. Information regarding the Foundation’s four-star ranking and fiscal health, along with online links to donation information, can be viewed on Charity Navigator’s Web site.

While the Foundation has made exceptional strides in funding original research to improve traffic safety, there is much still to do.  As we expand our research into areas of great public concern, including senior drivers, teen drivers, road safety and promoting a public awareness of safety, we need your support.  Therefore, I most sincerely hope that you will consider making a donation to the Foundation.  See the web link below. Your contribution will directly impact our effort to save lives through research and education.

Yours truly,
