Supplemental Transportation Website Launched

Teaming with the Beverly Foundation and the Independent Living Partnership, the AAA Foundation launched the STP Exchange -- a first-of-its-kind Web site dedicated to the issue of supplemental transportation programs: www.STPExchange.org. It offers a forum for emerging and established STP providers to discuss implementation of successful programs that provide transportation options to aging adults and those who can no longer drive.

For example, a variety of technical and development materials are available and it is free.  With a goal to connect thousands of STP providers across the country, the site began with 50 charter members. The ultimate goal is to increase the number of supplemental transportation providers to meet the growing needs of the senior population and make this information publicly available through the Foundation’s SeniorDrivers.org web site.
