Supplemental Transportation Website Launched

AAA Foundation Research Director Scott Osberg served on the Safe Roads to School (SRTS) Task Force. The Task Force, comprised of professionals in health, transportation and education, was formed to develop a national strategy to advance SRTS projects and programs. As a result, the SRTS Task Force developed the recommendations cited in the recently released National SRTS report entitled “Safe Routes to School: A Transportation Legacy –A National Strategy to Increase Safety and Physical Activity among American Youth,” available at: http://www.saferoutesinfo.org/task_force/. Although written primarily for the U.S. Department of Transportation and Congress, the report has valuable material for those working to make walking and bicycling to school safe.
