AAA Foundation Participates In White House Press Conference

Peter Kissinger, CEO of the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety, was one of four speakers at a press conference on drugged driving sponsored by the White House. "Given the appalling number of Americans being killed and injured on our nation's roads, we can't continue to ignore problems such as drug-related driving just because it is often difficult to identify drug use," Kissinger said. "There is clearly a lot of research and other actions needed in order to attack this problem." Other speakers included Dr. Jeffrey Runge, head of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, John P. Walters, Director of National Drug Control Policy, and the family of a drugged driving victim.

The press conference also showcased three public service announcements showing the dangers of drugged driving.
