Driver-ZED Featured at Tennessee Safety Event At the annual meeting of the Foundation's Research and Development Advisory Committee, the following four projects were approved: Don Lindsey of AAA East Tennessee is so excited about driver-ZED, the AAA Foundation's teen driver safety software, that he's going back to school - the Knoxville Catholic High School, to be precise. Lindsey will be loading driver-ZED onto ten computers at the school so that students can experience "crashing the computer, not the car." "The school felt this would be a perfect activity for the kids," says Lindsey, who is the Club's Director of Public Affairs. "The kids will come in and explore the program and use it, and they'll be fascinated, as everybody is. I'm hoping it will drive some things home." The high school is enthusiastic about the driver-ZED project, Lindsey says, "They feel it's a fascinating and very useful program." AAA East Tennessee has also been giving away driver-ZED software to teenaged drivers, new members, and those who get new insurance policies from the club. "I'm getting fairly urgent calls to get some more. That's a good sign," says Lindsey. "It's a great program."
