AAA Foundation Awarded at New York Auto Show

The AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety was honored on April 25 with an achievement award from the World Traffic Safety Symposium, held at the New York Auto Show in the Javits Center. "The AAA Foundation works every day to educate motorists and reduce deaths and injuries on our nation's highways," says Peter Kissinger, President of the AAA Foundation. "I'm honored to have our efforts recognized, especially since they have never before given an award to a purely safety-oriented organization."

The AAA Foundation was selected for the award because of its ongoing research into the causes of motor vehicle crashes and for its intensive efforts to inform the public about safer driving behavior. "Too many lives are being needlessly lost because of dangerous behavior," Kissinger says. "Even a very simple act, such as buckling a seat belt, can help save your life."
