For over 60 years, the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety has led the nation in research to identify traffic safety problems and find solutions that help save lives. Our ongoing work improves safety for motorists, bicyclists, and pedestrians, including our young children.
How? The Foundation informs decision-makers with important facts and data to make roads safer for all users. We also take the lead by using the results of our research to create distributable, educational materials for the general public. For example, the Foundation has distributed more than 100,000 DriverZED DVDs to teens and their families, to encourage safe driving for teens. Community groups across the country rely on our programs and brochures to help their local citizens stay safe on the roads.
